HELIX 4 Line Chemical Indicator

Usage

Axis AXSDHLX4 Helix Test indicator strips are designed for measuring air removal
and steam penetration capability in pre-vacuum steam sterilizers. They provide
immediate visual evidence of inadequate air removal or air leak, vacuum pump
failures.

1. Take 1 strip from AXSDHLX4 Helix Test Chemical Indicator. Open the cover at
the end of the metal part. Fold the indicator strip in the middle through the
punched line, the reactive ink must be facing the inside.
2. Place the chemical in the cap cavity (plastic capsule). Put the folded end first.
3. Put apparatus inside the tray. Run the sterilizer as usual.
4. Once the sterilization process is finished, remove the Helix Indicator .
5. Compare the results from the given reference color chart. If the color change to
reference color of Brown consider that the established sterilization conditions
were met. If one or more bars did not reach the final color, the load cannot be
considered sterile.
6. After use, for recording, the indicator will remain its final color for 6 months. It is
non-toxic, does not contain lead and does not transfers to materials to be sterilized.

Storage conditions

Store it in a dark place between 15-30°C, 35-60% relative humidity.
Do not put direct sunlight.
Do not re-use.
Do not store close to sterilizing agents.
Indicators have an expiration date of 5 years from the date of manufacture when
stored in recommended conditions.

Precautions

If the indicator does not properly turn to Brown color, these may be the reasons; choosing a Helix apparatus of inappropriate length.
Caution! The plastic tube is helically arranged and it must not be released when
using the product.
Discard after use, according to your country’s healthcare and safety regulations.
