Plasma Sterilization Roll

BIOGUARD Plasma Sterilization Rollers are specifically designed for use in vaporized hydrogen peroxide (VH₂O₂) plasma sterilization systems. These rolls provide effective sterilization and safe storage for heat-sensitive medical instruments and devices, ensuring complete protection while maintaining product integrity.

INSTRUTIONS OF USE

Sterilization bags for endoscopes. VH2O2 Flat Heat-Sealing Pouches are used for packing flat and small-sized instruments. Provides an effective sterile barrier and prevents medical devices from cross infection; with air permeability, anti-bacterial, waterproof, and leakproof. Applies non-toxic ink and de-ink prevention technology. Transparent film makes it easy for users to identify the contents within the packaging. Strong sealing edge prevents bursting after the sterilization and maintains the integrity of the sealing.

AREAS OF APPLICATION

Medical / Surgical Instruments

  • Tools that are heat-sensitive or have delicate parts (like plastics, optics) and cannot withstand autoclave (steam) sterilization.

  • Small flat or slim instruments, blades, forceps, scissors, etc. that fit into sealed pouches made from reel materials.
  • Endoscopes, Catheters, and Other Lumened Devices

    • Devices with internal channels (lumens), narrow or complex geometry, which require packaging that allows sterilant penetration but maintains barrier after. Plasma sterilization reels are useful here.

    • Dental & Laboratory Consumables

      • Items like dental tools, lab equipment, glassware, small equipment used in laboratories.

      • Also for packaging disposable consumables (packages for syringes, gauze, etc.) ensuring sterility during storage.
      • Packaging for Sensitive Medical / Surgical Products

        • Packaging materials for implants (orthopedic, dental), prosthetics, devices with sensitive surfaces. These require packaging that won’t damage the product and will maintain sterility until use.

        • Sterile Barrier Systems in CSSD / Sterile Processing Departments

          • Central Sterile Supply / Central Sterile Services where instruments are reprocessed; the reels allow making custom-length pouches to wrap or seal instruments after cleaning before sterilizing and storing.

          • Hospitals, Clinics, Dental Practices

            • Anywhere medical practice involves invasive instruments or surgical procedures: operating theatres, dental surgeries, clinics, specialized procedure rooms.

            • Sterilization of Flat or Small Items

              • Items that are flat, thin, or relatively small (e.g. surgical blades, small metal sheets, flat plastic parts) are especially well suited for being packaged in the reel pouches.

              • Transportation and Storage of Sterile Instruments

                • After sterilizing the items, the hermetically sealed pouches (made from these reels) protect against re-contamination during transport, storage, or handling until use.

                • Applications in Low-Temperature Sterilization Methods

                  • Particularly where sterilization by plasma (hydrogen peroxide vapor plasma) or other low-temperature sterilization agents are used. Because high temperature methods (steam, autoclave) might damage some materials.

FEATURES & BENEFTS

  • Designed for low-temperature plasma sterilization.

  • Made from medical-grade paper and transparent film with strong, reinforced sealing.

  • Provides a reliable sterile barrier: bacteria-proof, waterproof, and durable.

  • Transparent film allows easy identification of instruments.

  • Built-in sterilization indicators give clear process confirmation.

  • Available in multiple sizes for flexible, custom use.

  • Protects delicate, heat-sensitive instruments and maintains sterility during storage.

  • Reduces cross-infection risks, saves costs by cutting exact pouch lengths, and ensures patient and staff safety.

COMPOSITION

  • Medical-grade paper: Provides breathability for sterilant penetration while maintaining a microbial barrier.

  • Transparent composite film (e.g., PET/PE, PET/CPP): Ensures durability, visibility of contents, and resistance to tearing or puncture.

  • Sterilization indicator ink: Non-toxic, color-changing ink that confirms sterilization exposure.

  • Reinforced sealing edges: Strengthened multilayer structure to prevent bursting and ensure secure sealing.

PRECAUTIONS OF USE

  • Use only with validated plasma sterilization systems; not suitable for steam or dry-heat sterilization.

  • Ensure proper sealing with a compatible heat sealer; weak seals may compromise sterility.

  • Do not overload or pack instruments too tightly; allow sterilant to circulate freely.

  • Avoid using reels that are damaged, torn, or contaminated before sealing.

  • Check that indicator color change is clear and uniform after sterilization.

  • Store in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight, moisture, or chemicals.

  • Handle with clean, dry hands or gloves to prevent contamination before sealing.

  • Observe the expiry/shelf life of sterilized packs; do not use after the recommended storage period.
