INSTRUTIONS OF USE

1. Pre-operative surgical hand disinfection:

  • Wet the hands and forearms.

  • Wash with 5 ml of SKIN GUARD, each step consisting of five strokes back and forth.

2. Antiseptic handwash on the ward:

  • Wet the hands and forearms.

  • Apply 5 ml of SKIN GUARD and wash for 1 minute.

  • Rinse thoroughly and dry.

3. Pre-operative skin antisepsis for the patient:

  • The patient should wash their whole body using 25 ml of SKIN GUARD.

  • Performed on at least two occasions — usually the day before and the day of the operation.

4. For patients confined to bed:

  • Use SKIN GUARD with a standard bed-bath technique.

PRECAUTIONS OF USE

  • For external use only – do not ingest or apply to mucous membranes or eyes

  • Avoid contact with eyes; rinse immediately with water if contact occurs

  • Do not use on open wounds or severely damaged skin unless directed by a physician

  • Use only on healthy, intact skin

  • If skin irritation or allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use and consult a doctor

  • Store in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight

  • Keep out of reach of children

  • Follow material safety data sheet (MSDS) instructions for handling and disposal

  • Not to be mixed with other antiseptics or soaps unless professionally instructed
